  What the eyes perceive, what life passes through, are merely the endless cycles of spring, summer, autumn, and winter— fleeting apparitions within the vast universe. True reality does not reside in coming or going, but in what exists before arrival and after departure: an eternal stillness. The inspiration for this painting arose from a moment of inner dialogue. He told me: The real world is the place you have not yet reached, and the place to which you will ultimately return. And so, I painted Illusion.
